Seeing the Funny Side of the Pharmaceutical Industry

Fintan Walton talks to Clive Goddard, PharmaVentures’ resident cartoonist for PharmaDeals. During the interview, Clive talks about his motivation for becoming a cartoonist and how he has always enjoyed creating his own ideas. They talk about how the production of the PharmaDeals cartoons is truly a team effort and how the pharmaceutical industry, perhaps surprisingly, is good cartoon fodder. With over 60 industry cartoons in print, Clive has provided amusement to PharmaVentures’ customers for the past 4 years.

About Clive Goddard

Clive has been a cartoonist for many years and has published in a variety of well-known journals. He gained an HNC in Graphic Design & Illustration, and first published in British journal Private Eye in 1996. His work has also featured in titles such as Punch, The New Statesman and Reader’s Digest, and he has illustrated a number of books, including Scientists and their Mind-Blowing Experiments (in the Dead Famous series), and titles by Roald Dahl.
